Two Year-Old Classroom
(2- 3 years old)
Kawaiahaʻo Church School's toddler classroom is designed to be a gentle transition from home to school. We welcome all children and assist with toilet training.
Dual Language
(3-6 years old)
Although Hawaiian values, language and culture permeate the entire school, this Hawaiian based language program praised as "highly effective and uniquely innovative" goes beyond stories, songs and vocabulary to provide a sound foundation in the Hawaiian Language.
KINDERGARTEN
(5-6 years old)
Students may choose to remain in our Montessori Primary or Dual Language (3-6 years old) programs, or they may choose our Kindergarten Program. This program is designed for late borns and Kindergarten-aged children (that turn 5 on or after July 31st), and provides a combination of Montessori teaching as well as textbooks for an additional resource. This program is aimed at serving as a bridge to our Elementary Program.
Enrichment
(5-6 years old)
The enrichment program is for children ages 5 and 6 years old enrolled in our Primary/Dual Language Program and serves as a stepping stone into our Elementary Program. This gives the older children in the primary program the chance to have daily individual time for specialized curriculum, extracurricular activities, and group work.
Elementary
(1st-6th grade)
A multi-aged setting allows for increased social interaction between class members. The children don't simply learn from textbooks but engage through gathering information using library research, assembling reports, and teaching what they have learned to their peers.
