Nestled in the historic district of downtown Honolulu, Kawaiahaʻo Church School is a cherished haven for working families seeking a nurturing, faith-based education for their keiki. Since opening its doors in 1975 as a daycare facility, the school has grown alongside the children it serves, evolving into a vibrant learning community.

Rooted in Christian values, Kawaiahaʻo Church School provides a hands-on, Montessori-inspired education that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. A deep appreciation for Hawaiian culture and language is woven into the curriculum, ensuring that students develop a strong sense of identity and connection to their heritage.

A significant milestone came in 2014, when the school received a sizable grant to expand its dual-language program and further enhance its STEAM-based Montessori curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

In 2024, Kawaiahaʻo Church School earned gold-star accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), recognized for its safe and clean environment, dedicated teachers and staff, innovative curriculum, and welcoming, nurturing atmosphere.
