Admissions
Thank you for your interest in Kawaiahaʻo Church School. Applications to the School are received throughout the year. Regardless of the date of application, prospective students are not considered for enrollment until one month following the Kawaiahaʻo Church School re-enrollment deadline for current families. The date of an application will be taken into consideration after the re-enrollment deadline for current families have passed.
Once the school year has commenced, entrance into the program will be considered on an individual basis.
The following is a list of specific steps in our admissions process:
- We ask that all prospective parents tour the school and observe a classroom. Tours and observations take place every Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:30 a.m. Appointments must be made in advance. Please call the office to schedule.
- When your decision to apply is made, complete the application form and send it to the school with a non-refundable application fee of $50.
- Admission decisions are made by the Registrar of Admissions and the Administrator. If a position is offered to your child, you will be asked to provide the school with the registration fee, a non-refundable one-month’s tuition deposit, the first month’s tuition and all the appropriate signed documents to complete the registration. All forms can be downloaded.
- If a place is not immediately available for your child, you may want to be placed on our waitlist. Occasionally we experience drops through the summer months and urge our parents to remain on the waitlist.
Kawaiahaʻo Church School admits students of any race, color, religion, national origin, and ancestry to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Our policy of non-discrimination extends to our education and admission policies or other school administered programs. Uniforms may be ordered from the Kula Threads website. Online payment is through FACTS.
